Lehsuni Paneer

Ingredients

  • Paneer (cottage cheese) cut into 1/2 inch pieces 400 grams
  • Garlic crushed 12 cloves
  • Oil 3 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  • Onions chopped 3 medium
  • Ginger-garlic paste 2 teaspoons
  • Green chillies slit 2-3
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Cream 1/2 cup (Optional)
  • Garlic fried 3-4 cloves

PROCESS

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic, cumin seeds and onions and sauté for two minutes or till the mixture is lightly browned. 
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chillies and cook for for a Min or 2.
  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder ,mix well. Cook for 4-5 Min till it leaves oil.
  4. Add salt and yoghurt and mix well. When the mixture comes to a boil, add paneer cubes and mix gently.
  5. Add garam masala powder, lemon juice and mix lightly.
  6. Add cream and switch off the heat. Garnish with fried garlic and serve hot.
